DIY Art Projects

With the help of my super artsy mother, I have been able to put together a couple cool things for a dorm / apartment / house! This is where I will keep updating any cool DIY Artsy projects I find myself doing!

This is a super easy photo wall. I printed pictures in 4 x 8 and 4 x 4, as well as had some polaroid shots and photo booth pictures on hand. Another idea would to make all these pictures black & white, I think that would look dope. But this fills up any extra random wall space you have in any room!

ALSO hack for hanging pictures easily and taking them down without ripping the paint: use painters tape!!! This was the first year I thought about it, so I tried and its super cheap and great!

For all those dancers that have WAYYY too many of these shoes to know what to do with, try this!! I just used command strips to hang them up and I attached some of my favorite polaroids at the bottom of the laces. It was super easy and cute and I knew I wanted something simple for above my bed, so this is perfect!!

This is on the back of my bedroom door. I call it my "Inspiration Wall". I went to Publix and bought random magazines that included things I enjoyed doing and created this in about 3 hours! I love the colors blue and orange so I tried to keep a lot of those colors in it to keep it a little themed. Again, I just used simple painters tape to put them all on the wall! You're so much better off not creating a design on the floor first (learned this the hard way). If you just start going from the top and then filling in the empty spaces with smaller pieces, it will be quite easy.
